Description

Something random I thought I'd make from the two previous project entries I've done so far.

There may be slight inconsistencies to what their original intentions are, but I draw these anyways. Maybe I'll do more combinations if there's a demand for it, or if I feel like it.

If anyone feels like seeing more if these, here's the folder I'm putting them in:

They art style in general, as well as the fae's positioning behind the cap make it look more cute than a more detailed version would, which I personally like. The slight issues I have with the fae, which are very minor. The eyes are rounded and don't have the light reflections in them compared to the Portalie mushroom. Part of this may be due to looking somewhat down though, and by no means does it really worsen it. The other is the wings are not really that symmetrical as I would like, but this I only really noticed under closer inspection, and really isn't that big of a deal. I do like the three grades of lighting on her hair.

The slight perspective on the cap, as well as more movement and (I think fitting the scenario well) expression compared to Portalie Mushroom thing I do enjoy. I think I prefer the little outlines here with the white spots on the cap, but am conflicted about the more faded white color. The extra effort put into making much of the area beneath the cap that is closer to the screen slightly lighter as to be in the light is still appreciated, and does help give some depth. The stalk does look to be more in the ground here, but still semi-ambiguous, so could still be interpreted as a "foot". Overall, I do like this interaction between two entities, especially ones that are different. I would personally like to see more work like this, as it has some fun concepts. However, even the work you have made that I am not as big a fan of I still think looks nice and I enjoy seeing.
